ICA Operational Procedures

This page provides a summary of the current ICA Operational Procedures with links to full text versions as portable document format (PDF) files.

Each summary specifies the scope of the Operational Procedure including the quarantine requirement (treatment or condition) covered, the pest or pests for which it is approved, and the states/territories which accept the treatment or condition as an approved quarantine entry condition.

Please note that each produce type may be covered by a number of Operational Procedures. Several Operational Procedures may provide acceptable treatment/condition options for the same pest on the same type of produce for one or more destinations.  Importing states/territories may have quarantine restrictions which require certification in addition to those covered by Operational Procedures.

The details of each Operational Procedure are subject to change at short notice and are dependent on interstate market restrictions.  Local ICA Supervisors may be contacted to ensure information is current and correct at the time of consignment (ICA Contacts). They can also provide printed copies of current ICA Operational Procedures.
