Working scientifically
(I: collecting information, C: classifying ideas and concepts, arguing a
position, expressing points of view)
- Students are introduced to the characters to be portrayed in a play. In
the play, a fishing guide, aquaculturalist, QFS scientist, conservationist,
and farmer (see Teacher resource
c.5 - Fishing drama)
for a brief outline of these roles) are going fishing together. Use an expert
jigsaw strategy to brainstorm and communicate ideas to the whole group.
- Each home group then writes the play and performs it to show other students
their interpretation of the plot.
