Working scientifically
(C: exploring and elaborating ideas, creating presentations)

Want to know, what I have Learnt). Prioritise important issues
in each list.
- Each student decides upon an issue to target and develops a poster relating
to that issue. Each poster should include a title/heading; precise, high-impact
introductory text and suitable illustrations. Issues include environmental
threats, recommendations of what we can do, legislation and its implications
(fines etc.), information about what is being done about exotic pest fish
management and what individuals can do to help. Students could refer to
the DPI posters as stimulus material.
- Students plan layout (draft) with reference to topic, content outline,
size/position/colour of text boxes and borders for teacher and peer feedback
before starting work on the final poster. Students could present their poster,
outlining their reasons for selecting the topic and the elements used in
the poster.
