Aquatic Invaders - Home page

Aquatic Invaders is a must for teachers and students.

It is an educational module about pest fish such as carp and tilapia and their impacts on our aquatic environment.

Aquatic Invaders will teach students:

about the dangers of introducing non-native fish to our creeks and rivers
how to prevent the spread of existing pest fish
how to stop new pest species from being introduced.

Aquatic Invaders has plenty of outcomes-based learning activities:

Science: Life and Living / Science and Society
Study of Science and Environment: Place and Space / Time, Continuity and Change

Practical classroom activities include:

debates
dramas
creating posters
writing letters and
creating a book.
