Improved seasonal forecasting for wool producers in western Queensland Pastoral Zone

About this site and project
This site provides climate information and seasonal forecasts for western Queensland primary producers. Improved seasonal climate forecasts enable stocking rates to be better matched to feed availability. This project is funded by Land, Water & Wool, an initiative of Australian Wool Innovation Limited (AWI) and Land & Water Australia. Read more about the project.

How to use the information on this site
Using the forecasts (on the left) is a 3 step process:
1. Interpret the probability
2. Interpret the forecast quality (skill is an indicator of our confidence in the forecasts)
3. Apply a relevant management decision.

For a full explanation read:
How to use seasonal climate forecasting.

The links below provide further information on climate forecast indicators, and explanations to help you interpret the meaning. For decision support, software and training information please see the Climate page.
